STST Makes | OffBeat x Peckham Life Drawing

As part of The OffBeat Art Club, OffBeat have teamed up with Peckham Life Drawing’s Lucie Russel as part of their 2026 residency at Staffordshire St to run an outsider special life drawing session surrounded by the wonderful submissions on display amongst the exhibition.

Be inspired by the contemporary folk vernacular that surrounds you as Peckham Life Drawing presents their typically unusual, unexpected, fittingly ‘offbeat’ subjects.

Lucie Russell (MA RCA) is a Peckham-based artist known for expressive works on paper that combine detailed pencil drawings with spontaneous pastel pieces, exploring embodiment and human experience. Her recent exhibitions include See Berious (2024) and Together We Draw (2022). Since 2017, she has run Peckham Life Drawing, creating inclusive, experimental sessions that expand traditional approaches to life drawing. Russell also co-founded the Queer Art Boot Fair, curates exhibitions, and leads the socially engaged project Drawing People Together.
